Forward Water Sale

Murrumbidgee Irrigation is pleased to offer water allocation to our customers as a forward water sale.

We are able to provide this opportunity to our customers due to an unusual year with a very high level of local rainfall, coupled with changes to our operational practices. 

The water is being offered at a discounted forward sale price of $75/ML but will be limited to 5% of customers' delivery entitlements.  

By making this water available to Delivery Entitlement holders, those that fund the system year in year out have the opportunity to make use of the system savings. All customers ultimately benefit from the revenue these opportunities create. Murrumbidgee Irrigation aims to deliver water at the best possible price.  This is a further benefit, in addition to the usual enhancement, to customers who hold DE’s.   

Opportunities like this help our customers to plan for the new season and also add revenue to the business - helping to keep price increases down. 

The forward water sale opens to MI customers on 10 May 2017.  (Closes 12 June 2017).

Am I eligible?

All MI customers with Delivery Entitlement (DEs) are eligible. If you are unsure our customer services team can help. Call 6962 0200 or email info@mirrigation.com.au  

What does it cost?  

There is a $100 + GST non-refundable administration fee. The price of the forward water is $75/ML  

How much can I buy?  

Up to 5% of your DEs (rounded to the nearest ML). You can buy less than this amount but not part MLs.  

How do I apply?  

Call us on 6962 0200 or email info@mirrigation.com.au and we will send you a pre-filled sale pack. If you want to take up the offer you just need to sign and return the offer before 12 June.  

When does the offer close?

The offer closes on 12 June 2017. All internal water allocation trades close on this day.   

What if I change my mind?

There is no obligation to continue with the sale. We will invoice you for the forward water in early July.  If you change your mind, you do not need to pay the invoice and the offer will lapse automatically on 31 July 2017.  Please note that the $100 +GST administration charge is not refundable.  

When will I receive the purchased water? 

You will be invoiced for the forward water in early July.  The water will be transferred to your water allocation account after we have received your payment.
