MIA ENVIROWISE Education & Courses

Education is a key strategy in working towards achieving the goals and objectives of MIA EnviroWise.

This strategy is aimed at three target audiences for whom specific mini-plans have been developed. By addressing all three end users with information and courses geared towards their interests and needs, the MIA EnviroWise message will be integrated into communities and families helping to reinforce it.

URBAN PROGRAMS
Current focus for Urban Programs is on the householder, commercial businesses and large sporting organisations when planning their gardens and landscapes. A number of  SMART WATERING workshops have been run throughout the MIA addressing issues such as designing and installing drip irrigation, soil types, mulching, fertilising and drought resistant plant varieties. Griffith & Leeton smart watering workshops will be scheduled soon.

> ‘Environmental tool boxes’
