Rice Area Transfers

The due date to submit Rice Area Transfers is approaching.

Murrumbidgee Irrigation Chief Executive, Geoff Hipkins, would like to remind all general security shareholders that the due date for Rice Area Transfers is 1 December 2002.

"It is important that irrigators wanting to adjust their rice area submit an application prior to te due date," said Mr Hipkins. "A transfer may include notification of a forward transfer, transfers between landholdings or an overdraw from next season."

Landholders failing to submit an application may jeopardise the opportunity to grow extra rice in future seasons.

"As always, we try to accommodate the needs of our irrigators. If irrigators are unsure of their transfer requirements they should contact our office to discuss their individual needs," concluded Mr Hipkins.
