FRONTLINE MANAGEMENT GRADUATES CELEBRATE

Frontline Management students celebrated their graduation at the Leeton Soldier's Club Regency Room last Friday. The event was hosted by training partners Water Training Australia and Murrumbidgee Irrigation.

The Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management) is recognised nationally and provides pathways to diploma and degree programs. Frontline Management training focuses on leadership, team effectiveness, occupational health and safety analysis and the development and implementation of operational plans.

“We value and respect the life experience participants bring to our training programs,” said Mike Rankin, Director of Water Training Australia. “Work environments are becoming increasingly complex and we aim to support our students as they make a real and immediate difference in their workplace.”

The 19 graduates from Murrumbidgee Irrigation, Leeton Shire Council, Narrandera Shire Council and Leighton Holdings completed the program over two years. The majority of participants were eligible for financial support under the Australian Apprenticeship program arranged through MEGT Australia.

The course is delivered at Murrumbidgee Irrigation's Dunn Avenue office using a combination of workshops, study groups and individual tutorials to support individual learning needs.

“We believe we have created a training environment that works for employers and employees,” continued Mr Rankin. “We are currently working with two other groups from the local area and additional programs will be offered in 2008. I would encourage any business considering training to talk to us about how we can support their individual training needs. Tell us what you need and we will make it work,” concluded Mr Rankin.
