MIA ENVIROWISE RECEIVES $1.3M FUNDING BOOST

MI’s environmental arm, MIA EnviroWise today received $1.3m in funding from the NSW State Government. Minister for Climate Change, Environment and Water, Philip Koperberg, presented MI’s Environment Manager Rob Kelly with the funds during his brief visit to Griffith. Funds will be used to improve on-farm water use efficiency and to protect and enhance biodiversity within the MIA. For assistance in accessing these funds for your farm please contact Grant Gyles or Bonnie Lessels on 6962 0200 regarding the Incentive Programs available.

MI also took the opportunity during the Minister’s visit to brief him on the innovative water-saving Barren Box Storage and Wetlands project. Mr Koperberg is keen to revisit the MIA region in the next couple of months for a comprehensive look at the region's innovative ideas in water management including Barren Box.
