Water Safety

Irrigation channels are not a safe place to swim or play.

As well as the known dangers like varying water depths, submerged objects and snakes, things have changed over the years:

  • Automated structures can trap and drown you
  • Polyethylene linings are very slippery, and
  • remotely operated gates can cause unpredictable currents and undertows.

Look out for your children and pets. Keep them safe.

Keep them away from channels.

Sponsorship and Donations

Our corporate philosophy includes a commitment to act as a responsible corporate citizen. We demonstrate this commitment in many ways.

Our employees enthusiastically support the fundraising events of a number of charitable organisations throughout the year. Employee support is matched by a corporate contribution. Supported events  include the Children’s Medical Research Institute Jeans for Genes day, Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea and Relay for Life,  and Beyond Blue’s Movember.

We support a variety of community based projects, events and charities that reflect our vision, mission, commitment, objectives and strategies as found in our Corporate Plan 2010-2016.

Our Sponsorship and Donations Policy ensures a coordinated and equitable approach to our corporate social responsibilities.

No Swimming

Don’t swim in irrigation channels.

Swim under supervision in the local pool instead.
