Murrumbidgee Irrigation (MI) will be undertaking construction projects along some of the channels during 2026, 2027 and possibly 2028 that require clay material across a number of locations, including:

  • Tabbita (along the Tabbita Channel)
  • Warburn (along the Warburn Channel)
  • Myall Park (along the NBC Channel)
  • Other areas across Griffith and Leeton

As part of the upcoming construction tenders, MI intends to include a non-exclusive list of potential clay sources for tenderers/contractors to consider when pricing and planning their works.

Important Notes
  • Tenderers and contractors will contact you directly to discuss the suitability of the clay source.
  • Suitability will depend on factors such as material quality, testing requirements, quantity, proximity to work sites, availability, and logistics.
  • Any agreement relating to the supply of clay will be between you and the contractor/tenderer.
  • MI will not be a party to, nor involved in, any commercial arrangements or negotiations arising from the use of listed clay sources.

If you have an existing clay stockpile or civil works (such as dams or excavations) and believe you may be able to supply suitable clay material to contractors, please provide your details in the form below,17 July 2026.
