We're seeking an experienced Customer Engagement Officer - 2 Year Fixed Term to join our team and play a key role in delivering a Major MI infrastructure project that will have a lasting impact across our communities. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for customer engagement with meaningful, on the ground, work that supports regional growth and development. Based in Griffith, NSW, you'll work closely with project teams and local stakeholders to help ensure communities remain informed, supported and connected throughout the project's delivery.

About the role

As a Customer Engagement Officer, you will be a key point of contact for customers, landholders, residents, and project stakeholders, supporting the delivery of a Major MI infrastructure project. Working both in the field and office, you will coordinate customer enquiries, engagement activities, applications, complaints, and project communications while maintaining accurate records and supporting compliance requirements. Collaborating with project teams and internal experts, you will help deliver positive customer outcomes, build trusted relationships, and ensure customers remain informed and supported throughout the project lifecycle. This role is ideal for a proactive, people-focused professional who enjoys working with the community and collaborating across diverse teams.

 
 

What you'll bring?

  • Certificate III or IV in Customer Engagement, Customer Service, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration or a related discipline, or a minimum of five years' experience in a customer engagement, or similar role.
  • Experience in Customer Engagement, Customer Services or similar industry experience
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive customer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Highly developed communication, engagement and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to manage complex customer enquiries and sensitive issues.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to maintain accurate customer records, case notes, and action tracking while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across business units to coordinate customer outcomes and support project and operational delivery.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and promote innovation and excellence.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety (WHS) risks and safe work procedures
  • Current ‘C’ class motor vehicle licence
