About the role
We are looking for an Environmental Lead to join the Sustainability and Governance team at this exciting time. This role will play a pivotal role in the business by providing leadership in the development and implementation of environmental planning activities. You will be an integral part of a team of professionals to deliver our environmental initiatives and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Reporting to the Manager, Environmental Planning, the role will develop, manage and support environmental programs, projects & initiatives that focus on the right environmental culture and compliance, improvement to our environmental management systems and maximise the value that MI derives from its assets and operations.

What you'll bring
- Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, planning, or a related field
- 2-3 years of environmental experience in water infrastructure
- Experience & knowledge in environmental legislation, policies, ISO 14001 and regulations
- Strong skills in managing projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring
- Demonstrated ability in leadership, communication and accountability
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft software applications
- Current ‘C’ class motor vehicle licence
- Live in or be willing to relocate to the Griffith Area (or its surrounds)
- A ‘can do’ attitude focused on delivering outcomes
- Commitment to a strong values culture and a preparedness to ‘walk the talk’.
