MI is seeking an Executive Assistant (EA) to the CEO who will provide administrative, strategic, and organisational support to the CEO. In this role, you will operate as a trusted partner and an extension of the CEO’s office—managing time, information, and relationships to keep executive activities aligned with organisational priorities.
This is a dynamic role where no two days are the same. You will anticipate needs, exercise sound judgement, handle sensitive matters with discretion and maintain disciplined follow-through on actions and commitments.

What you’ll do:
- Provide high-level executive and administrative support to the CEO and Leadership Team, managing calendars, correspondence, travel, documentation, and workflow.
- Oversee the efficient operation of the Executive Office by coordinating systems, processes, events, and administrative tasks that support smooth day-to-day executive function.
- Coordinate Board, Committee, and governance processes in partnership with the Company Secretary, including logistics, travel arrangements, and meeting preparation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders as the primary contact point for the CEO’s office
- Manage sensitive information with discretion, integrity and professionalism
- Plan and coordinate executive and governance events end-to-end
- Support CEO sponsored initiatives, planning cycles, research, reporting, and cross functional projects by tracking actions, coordinating inputs, and preparing high quality information for strategic decision making.
What You’ll Bring
Essential:
- Certificate IV in Business Administration
- Extensive experience providing high-level executive support to CEOs, senior executives, or boards, including complex diary, email and workflow management.
- Strong organisational and time management capability, able to coordinate multiple competing deadlines and maintain structure during periods of high demand.
- Demonstrable skills in planning and coordinating events and activities appropriate for Executive and Board participation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including preparing executive level briefs, presentations and correspondence
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams, and confidence using digital collaboration platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with high integrity and sound judgement.
- Stakeholder management experience, including engaging with senior leaders, board members, customers, and external partners professionally
- Proven ability to work autonomously, resolve issues proactively, and anticipate the needs of the CEO and leadership.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality in all documentation.
Desirable:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Management or related field
- Knowledge of safe work procedures and WHS training relevant to work
- Working knowledge of information systems and records management
- Knowledge of water industry regulations and legislation
